TOPIC STREAM: Toolchain
This stream covers everything that has
to do with the technical aspects of the making process in the Fab
Lab. This includes the use of fab-machines (hardware) and design
programs (software).
Topics that will be addressed are:
- documenting the work flow for your machines
- open source design software alternatives
- the current state of 3D printing with home-made machines
- open Source Lasers: LaOS / Visicut / Buildlog / Lasersaur
- self-made CNC's: timelab Gent, Mantis
- 3D scanning
- trends in hard and software
